The Fund is committed to helping children from underprivileged backgrounds to change their lives through education. In the spirit of giving back to society, the EtonHouse International Group started the EtonHouse Community Fund (ECF) in 2015 as a separate entity when they celebrated the 20th anniversary of the group.
The EtonHouse Community Fund is a Registered Non-Profit organization approved by the Commissioner of Charities in Singapore and is an Institution of Public Character (IPC). Institutions of a Public Character (IPCs) are exempt or registered charities that are able to issue tax-deductible receipts for qualifying donations to donors. In other words, donors are able to claim tax relief from their assessable income based on the amount donated, at prevailing deduction rate.
At EtonHouse Community Fund, we believe in the importance of education and that everyone, regardless of his or her background should have access to good quality education.
The EtonHouse Community Fund was launched at a charity dinner on 22 October 2015, during the 20th-anniversary celebration dinner for EtonHouse.
Founder Mrs. Ng Gim Choo said, “I have always believed that education and charity are two sides of the same coin. How can you build character without teaching generosity to help the less fortunate? I also believe that the gift of education is the best possible charity we can give because we are investing in a child’s future. So we launch the EtonHouse Community Fund to help children from underprivileged backgrounds to advance their educational goals.
Through the power of education, we hope to improve the lives of these children and their families.”
